Ravines Wine Cellars is featured in The New York Times’ “36 Hours in the Finger Lakes, N.Y.,” a fall road-trip guide to Seneca Lake wine country and the towns and natural wonders around it.
The article recommends Ravines as a Friday afternoon stop, noting that some 25 years ago, when sweeter styles were the norm, Morten Hallgren made the region’s first bone-dry riesling, helping bring the Finger Lakes onto the world stage of wine.
Visitors are invited to enjoy a seated wine flight in our beautifully restored turn-of-the-century barn, just a few miles southwest of downtown Geneva. Your flight might include our 2022 Dry Riesling or the newly released 2024 Pinot Noir, paired with a small plate like our flammekueche, an Alsatian flatbread topped with local smoked bacon, roasted honeynut squash, and miso butter with maple pepitas.
